What Does Christmas Mean to You?

Let’s look ahead to the coming ‘busy weeks”:

Will you make a decision  before this season’s start?
On what is most important? – Presents or His Presence in your heart?
In the midst of wrapping gifts in paper of silver or gold,
Does the “glitz” overcome the real story to be told?

God, Our Father, sent His Son Jesus to be born in a stable,
And to live a sinless life among men, as only He was able!
This same Jesus took man’s sins to the cross as if they were His own.
And covered them with His Blood before He returned to His Throne.
There is no doubt in my mind in the Christmas Season,
To celebrate the Birth of Christ should be the real reason.
He is God’s Greatest Gift – more precious than tinsel and trees.
But only if accepted by one who truly believes!
You can come to know Him personally on this Christmas Day,
If you believe that His Way to eternal life is the Only Way!

The following scriptures are God’s instructions for us to follow to make that happen.

John 3:16 –“For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

Jesus Himself spoke these words to a doubting Thomas:

John 14: verses 5 and 6 – “Thomas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where you are going, and how can we know the way? Jesus  said to him – “I am the way, the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me”.

Acts 4:12 – “Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved,”

My prayer today is this:  Dear Lord, I pray that my belief in you and my sharing the many blessings you have given to me has helped me to clearly convey to others  the message of the well known hymn “How Great Thou Art”.  Two scriptures in the Old Testament each, separately, say the same words.   They are 1st Chronicles 16:18 and Psalm 105:1:

“O  give thanks to the Lord! call upon His name; Make known His deeds among the people!"

Thank you for reading this,
